	Case Study - 1066 Housing Association One of our longest standing local authority customers, 1066 housing association required a full grounds maintenance programme in an area of social housing that had suffered neglect over previous years. Boxing and collection of cut grass (rather than just leaving the cuttings on site) was included in an all year timetable of mowing, hedge cutting, spray work and shrub maintenance. The toughest challenge was the collection and boxing of cuttings from the grassed areas. This was achieved using dedicated cutting machinery imported from Italy, capable of lifting grass two metres from a hopper into a high sided support vehicle for rapid and effective clearance. This resulted in a cleaner and more professional appearance to these open and highly visible public spaces. The ongoing requirement is one of improving the appearance of an environment that is both ecologically and publically sensitive. The long term objective is to upgrade the social housing area, creating a sense of pride and belonging amongst the inhabitants. Back to case studies
