Project: Public open space on former railway track with listed features.

Key features: Strict requirement for environmental standards for soil and vegetation from local authority ecologist.

Our work: We worked with the developer and landscape architect to deliver the scheme in restricted conditions, and addressed the complex issue of condemned initial topsoil provision. We had the technical knowledge to propose a successful solution which involved deep mixing ameliorants with the condemned topsoil in situ to provide an acceptable finished quality soil.

The result: The scheme provided a visually stimulating and environmentally sound new open space to benefit the development and the wider Brighton scene.
